Security is a top priority at Better Clinics, and we are committed to protecting your data. To enhance the security of your account, we have implemented Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). 2FA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring not only your password but also a verification code from an authentication app on your smartphone or trusted device. This ensures that even if your password is compromised, your account remains secure.

Why Two-Factor Authentication is Important

Two-Factor Authentication significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account. It helps to:

  • Prevent unauthorized access by adding a second layer of security.

  • Protect sensitive information stored in your Better Clinics account.

  • Provide peace of mind knowing that your account is more secure.

Steps to Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Follow these steps to enable 2FA on your Better Clinics account:

  1. Sign-in to your account.

  2. Click the Settings Cog: Navigate to your account settings by clicking the settings cog icon in the top-right corner of your Better Clinics dashboard.

  3. Click "Two-Factor Authentication": In the settings menu, find and select the "Two-Factor Authentication" option.

Setting Up the Authentication App

Once you click on "Two-Factor Authentication," you will be prompted to scan a QR code. We recomment using Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. We have also included a guide to do this on an Apple device.

Using Google Authenticator

  1. Download and install the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  2. Open the Google Authenticator app on your device.

  3. Tap the plus (+) icon to add a new account.

  4. Select Scan a QR code.

  5. Use your device's camera to scan the QR code displayed on your Better Clinics account setup page.

  6. The app will generate a 6-digit verification code. Enter this code in the provided field on the Better Clinics setup page to complete the process.

Using Microsoft Authenticator

  1. Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  2. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device.

  4. Select what kind of account.

  5. Select Scan a QR code.

  6. Use your device's camera to scan the QR code displayed on your Better Clinics account setup page.

  7. The app will generate a 6-digit verification code. Enter this code in the provided field on the Better Clinics setup page to complete the process.

Using an Apple Device (Built-in authenticator)

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click Passwords.

  3. Click the plus (+) icon.

  4. Select New Password.

  5. Fill out the details.

  6. Click Done.

  7. Once the setup is complete, click Set Up Verification Code.

  8. Select Scan QR Code.

  9. Scan the QR code displayed on your Better Clinics account setup page. A verification code will appear.

NOTE: The Verification Code above is a sample code.

  10. Enter this code in the provided field on the Better Clinics setup page to complete the process.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication is a crucial step in safeguarding your Better Clinics account. Once 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter the 6-digit authenticator code that appears on your chosen authenticator app each time you log in. By following the steps above, you can ensure that your account is protected with an additional layer of security.
