Do you prefer taking client notes as if you're directly writing them without typing? Better Clinics Canvas feature lets you do just that, providing a flexible and intuitive way to document your notes just as you would on paper. Here’s how to utilize this feature to its fullest potential:

Accessing the Canvas

  1. Go to a client’s profile.

  2. Select Notes from the menu.

  3. Under New Note, click on Bodycharts.

  4. You will have the option to use the default body chart or create a blank canvas.

Note: You can also access the Canvas through the Calendar by clicking on an appointment with your chosen client and then selecting Clinical Notes.

Using the Default Bodychart

The default body chart image allows you to write specific notes and mark up directly on the chart.

Creating and Using a New Canvas

  1. Click on Add a “New Image”.

  2. A blank canvas popup will appear, allowing you to freely write or draw your notes.

Features of the Canvas

The blank canvas in Better Clinics offers a versatile space for practitioners who prefer a more hands-on approach to note-taking. Here’s what you can do:

  • Freehand Writing and Drawing: Use a stylus or your mouse to write or draw directly on the canvas, mimicking the experience of writing on paper.

  • Add Typed Text: For those who want to mix handwriting with typed notes, you can easily insert text boxes.

  • Insert Images: Add relevant images to your notes, such as diagrams or client-related visuals.

  • Use Shapes and Arrows: Highlight important details or direct attention to specific areas of your notes with shapes and arrows.

Saving Your Notes

Once you’re finished, click Save in the upper right-hand section. You have three saving options:

  • Add to Better Clinics Library Notes: Store it in your library for easy access.

  • Save it to Notes: Save it directly to the client's notes.

  • Download the Canvas: Save a copy to your device.

Benefits of Using Better Clinics Canvas

  • Flexibility: Write or draw notes directly, which is ideal for those who prefer handwriting or freeform annotation.

  • Efficiency: Eliminate the need for typing extensive notes; simply draw or write as needed.

  • Integration: Keep all your notes and annotations within the Better Clinics system, seamlessly integrated with your client profiles.
